Visit golden Ullswater – the Lake District this Easter

Easter, a fantastic time to visit the Lake District with the school summer holidays in full swing and the long days meaning even more adventure can be had.

A location for families of all ages, couples and friends Ullswater is an easy drive of 5 miles from junction 40 of the M6. Regarded by many as the most beautiful lake in the English Lake District and where Wordsworth was inspired to write his most famous poem, “Daffodils”. The villages of Glenridding and Pooley Bridge at either end of Ullswater are the only populated locations with just hamlets and individual properties and businesses in between. This April take part in a choice of guided walks organised by the Lake District National Park Authority ranging from 6km to 12km. Two highlights include “Glenamara to Silver Bay” on April 14th and then on April 15th “A Host of Daffodils” backed by the Lake District World Heritage Bid.
